Seoul Fried Chicken is to die for!!!🐔🍗 It's now officially my #1 favourite Korean Fried Chicken spot in Edmonton!! I've tried almost all the Korean Fried Chicken places in Edmonton and this one is the BEST, IMHO! 👌 They're consistently delicious every time I go. Crunchy yet light batter with the perfect balance in texture, not greasy, and juicy hot inside. I had 6 pieces in a row and didn't feel the grease at all! The chicken was perfectly fried every time. Even the white meat pieces were juicy! They blew me away with their creative sauces, including unique ones you won't find elsewhere (cilantro lime chimichurri, curry, hot mustard with onion, cheesy ranch etc). 😋 We ordered the G.P. Cheese (cheesy ranch with grana padano and parsley) and the SFC O.G. (Original without sauce). Both were phenomenal!!

It’s been over a year since we last ordered chicken from this SFC location so we decided to give it a try for dinner. In the past we really liked their Korean version of fried chicken but unfortunately things seemed to have changed from what we remember and not necessarily for the better. We ordered their golden kari, garlic soy, cilantro lime and gochujang caramel chicken. We also ordered the mac n’ cheese pesto salad and the house cut fries. The first thing we noticed was that the pieces of chicken were larger size pieces like what you would find in an order of chicken at KFC or Mary Brown’s. We prefer the smaller cut up chicken pieces that SFC originally used. Then we noted that they appeared to have messed up the sauces in 2 of the chicken orders. The garlic soy tasted like gochujang soy because it had a definite “kick” to it and no garlic. We’ve had garlic soy a number of times in the past and this was definitely not it. Then the gochujang caramel appears to only have caramel sauce, just a sweet sauce with no spiciness. The golden kari and cilantro lime appeared correct and tasted pretty good. The house cut fries were very good but we felt that there was an excessive amount of bits and crumbs at the bottom of our order. The mac n’ cheese pesto salad was not as good as it was in the past; the sauce appeared thinner and the pesto not very prominent. We would not order it again. When picking up our order we noticed that SFC was extremely busy and wonder if their quality control is slipping because of the volume of meals they’re pushing thru their kitchen. We order online using their website and that process worked very well, we paid at the till when we picked up and the person working there was competent and nice. However, we did have to wait about 15 minutes longer than the scheduled time to get our order. There’s free parking in the shopping centre parking lot but stalls closest to SFC were full.

Ordered via Uber Eats. The gamey taste completely put me off chicken for a while—we tried two wings and couldn’t stomach it, so we threw the rest in the trash. $40 wasted. My last experience with SFC was actually good, but tonight was the worst by far. What a disappointment, especially when it’s hard-earned money and you expect to actually enjoy what you’re paying for. I am so sorry, but worst experience ever!

I recently tried the chicken tenders at Soul Fried Chicken and they were honestly some of the best I’ve had. The tenders were huge, way bigger than the typical ones you get at most places. Each piece had a perfectly crispy coating that stayed crunchy with every bite, while the inside was super tender and juicy. What really made them stand out was the spicy BBQ sauce. It had a great balance of smoky sweetness with a nice kick of heat that didn’t overpower the flavor of the chicken. Dipping those big, crispy tenders into that sauce was just perfect. If you like chicken that’s crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor, these tenders are absolutely worth trying. I’d definitely order them again. 🔥🍗

Hands down my favorite takeout place in Edmonton. Been eating here since the lines flooded out of the building in 2016 and I can say confidently that I will never find a fried chicken place I enjoy more. The chicken seems so fresh and less greasy than other places- their big Seoul set is an absolutely amazing deal (5 pieces of chicken, customizable chicken flavour, 2 sides, a be a drink for $20) and let me tell you they don’t cheap out. I get cilantro flavour and they literally put more cilantro on top than the bundles I buy at the grocery store, comes with this amazing sauce too. The pesto Macaroni salad is to die for and the home cut fries go so well with the cilantro sauce. Every single time I get their food I am bewildered by how heavy the box is. I weighed it tonight, 4.5 pounds!!!
