Authentic Thai kitchen in Edmonton — pad thai, green and red curries, tom yum, mango sticky rice. Fresh ingredients, no alcohol served.
Came here to check out their menu, and it really hit the spot. The Pad Thai was perfectly cooked and had a great balance of flavors, slightly sweet, a little tangy, and not too heavy. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion size was just right. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, making it a good place to sit down and enjoy your meal. Service was quick and friendly, and everything came out without a long wait. Overall, it was a really solid experience. Nothing over-the-top fancy, but dependable and enjoyable. If you’re craving Thai food, especially pad thai, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’d come back again and try more from the menu.
We've been on the hunt for a new Thai restaurant and I believe we've found our new favourite spot in Thai Avenue. We stopped in for lunch on Friday afternoon. It was busy, but there wasn't a wait for any tables. The restaurant is very nicely appointed and very clean inside. We started with some kimchi and a green onion cake, both of which were very tasty, especially the green onion cake. We both ended up choosing one of their lunch specials, which happened to be yellow curry with chicken and coconut rice for both of us. It also included Tom Yum soup along with a vegetable spring roll and some fried tofu. The Tom Yum soup and yellow curry were extremely flavourful and very well spiced. We also both greatly enjoyed the coconut rice and vegetable spring roll. I didn't mind the fried tofu, but honestly tofu isn't my thing to begin with, but I still tried it nonetheless. Everything was reasonably priced and came out freshly prepared as well. Our server was also very hospitable and provided exceptional service. It's probably a good thing we don't live nearby, otherwise I'd be coming Thai Avenue Restaurant a lot more often for all their delicious food.
The food was very yummy and the portions were generous. The Crispy Chicken Salt & Pepper Stiry fry was very light, crispy and flavourful. The Green Curry w/ Beef had a nice mild spice to it and was a great topping for our coconut rice. For dessert we had the Rainbow Mango (mango sticky rice with mango ice cream) and was also very yummy and not too sweet. Will definitely be back.
She had a reason for confidently recommending the Tom Yum—and She was right. The moment I tried the Tom Yum soup from the lunch set, I was genuinely surprised. It tasted just like what I had in Thailand. • Even the basics like the coconut rice were perfect—the flavor and texture were so good that I could’ve enjoyed it on its own. • The green curry was nicely balanced—spicy yet smooth—and the pad thai stood out with its well-seasoned, nutty flavor without being overly salty.(so many thai restaurant tend to use too much sauce) • What really made the experience memorable was the staff—their bright smiles and genuine friendliness. This is easily one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve had in Canada recently, and I’ll definitely be coming back. P.S. The Thai iced coffee is much sweeter than you might expect.
Came across this place on Instagram and decided to take my mom for the first time on Mother’s Day and I will say it did not disappoint! I drive 30 mins from the southside just for this!! I get the Khao Soi and it is probably one of the best most flavourful dishes I’ve ever had in my life!!! Hands down my new favourite place and I’ve already been back 3 times since. The staff are amazing, such sweet people and the atmosphere is so inviting. If you haven’t already been here CHECK IT OUT! You will not be disappointed. 🙌🏼❤️
