Yardie Sweet Spot is hands down one of the best Caribbean restaurants in Edmonton! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with real love. The jerk chicken is perfectly seasoned with just the right kick, the oxtail is tender and rich, and the rice and peas is cooked to perfection every single time. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff make you feel like family from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, the quality never disappoints. If you’re craving real Caribbean vibes and unforgettable food, Yardie Sweet Spot is the place to be. Highly recommend! 🌴🔥
Let's take a minute to appreciate this hidden gem! It doesnt pop up quickly in a google search but it's easily the BEST Jamaican food in Edmonton. It's right up there with the best in Toronto. This literally tastes like it's coming from your grandma's kitchen back home. Flavourful, tasty, and done just right! Portion sizes are good and you get an ample serving of veggies (Coleslaw plus salad). You also get a side of plantain along with the meal. The owner was very sweet and friendly. I would highly recommend!
“The place was very clean and well organized. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. The atmosphere was great with nice music playing in the background. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely come back!”
Really friendly staff! Am I going to crave the stew chicken from now on and need to eat it at least once a week? Yes. Large portion size and excellent seasoning. Worth it to note that there are doors on either side of the building so there is access from two different lots.
The food was well seasoned and tasted good. Portions are a bit small for what you pay though. We had the 2 meat plate (oxtail and goat) and another oxtail with just rice. Came out to $65. They did include a soup for free which wasnt expected, but not sure we would return as the value we feel wasn't there. The box had only a few small pieces of goat. We don't mind paying a bit more but would like to see more value for it. This time it came up short. 3.5/5
