I purchased my Toyota Crown from First Gear Project a couple months ago and its ran flawlessly ever since, they were honest about the condition of the vehicle and answered any questions I had with ease. I'd 100% recommend this shop to any JDM owners in the Edmonton area, extremely polite and helpful staff aswell. Your car is in good hands here.
Normally I don't leave shop reviews or comments on social media but I guess I have to..... I moved to the U.S. for my new career and looking for trustworthy shop. During my short vacation to Vancouver BC, I met Leo somewhere at local car show event. He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Several months later, I visited him in person and decided to start business with him (didn't care about shipping and duties). Many other friends from my area also purchased parts through FGP and zero complaints. During COVID, Leo, Nick and all FGP crews were always helpful to me including my friends. I strongly recommend FGP to business with. Thank you guys and without you guys, I would never finished DC5 project. PS) if you need to consult your fine tuning of your car, please reach out to them, they know what they are talking about. I'm leaving my M&M U.S. demo version DC5 pictures here.
I was recommended by a fellow co-worker to First Gear Project after I brought the Corksport Turbo Kit for my Mazda 3. They managed to squeeze me in for the install despite saying they were pretty busy with other projects. Taylor and Thomas were pretty transparent throughout the install, often calling or emailing me with updates or questions regarding the install. Finally, after some weeks, I got the green light to pick up the car. First thing, the pictures I took of the engine bay doesn't do the good work they did justice (I'll clean the engine bay one day, I promise lol). Second, the car is just plain awesome to drive now. The increase in power and torque really transforms the car. Hearing the turbo spool always puts a smile on my face! After driving it for a little over a week, I'm confident in saying letting First Gear Project install the turbo in my car was 100% worth it. I'll definitely be returning to them for any future work on my Mazda! Believe the raving reviews, these guys are great and will take care of you!
Nick and his crew did a great job relocating the AYC pump in my Evo X! Said pump had been exposed to the elements while sitting under the car for 16 years. Now it’s safely nestled away in the trunk and will hopefully last many more. Thank you, First Gear Project!
Our 2012 Honda CRV Touring had the check engine light come on and then high idle issues after I cleaned up the throttle body and MAF sensor. We took it in to First Gear to diagnose and discuss solutions. Wow we had one of the best experiences with mechanical shops in a very long time. The technicians scanned and serviced the throttle body then reset the idle. We were anticipating a high bill but were very impressed with the final amount we were given. We’re going to monitor it and if any issues continue we will definitely be back. I would definitely recommend First Gear Project 👍😎 Thanks for the exceptional service.
