Paradiso Pastries — middle eastern in Edmonton, Edmonton. Halal-certified. 469 Google reviews, 4.2★.
⭐ 1/5 Very disappointing experience. We bought a variety of baklava from Paradiso Pastries, but unfortunately they were extremely dry, hard, and tasted stale. The texture was nothing like fresh baklava should be, and we could barely enjoy them. I’m very disappointed with the quality, especially considering that we paid for a full box. It honestly felt like a waste of money. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their baklava and definitely won’t be buying it again.
Awesome place, lots of selections of sweets 😋, you always find yourself coming back for more.
I went in looking for chocolate cake and tried a couple of different options, but I didn't really enjoy them. They were too sweet and lacked a real chocolate flavor; they tasted like boxed mixes since they all tasted the same. On the other hand, the cookies were delicious and everything was fresh. Customer service could be friendlier—I only received one-word answers.
Everything is delicious here. Very fresh, amazing kind people working here. Never say no when they offer free tasting samples — you’ll end up finding your favorite!
Attention , Attention . I bought baklava for Eid, and after my family ate some of it , the whole family got diarea . We stopped eating it to return it , and after looking carefully at it , we found bacteria growing on it . It is really disgusting and repulsive . This restaurant must hold accountable . It seems they sell expired sweets that have been made since long time . NEVER buy from this filthy lousy restaurant .

Edmonton's oldest continuously-operating bakery, since 1946. Cakes, buns, danishes, and old-school treats made the same way for three generations.
Wild-fermented sourdough baked daily in Edmonton — country loaves, seeded rye, focaccia. No preservatives, small batches, sell out by 2pm.
