We have been taking our dog to Mission Ridge Clinic for many years. It has always been a positive experience with a welcoming atmosphere and caring, professional staff. The vets are wonderful and consistently follow up on how our little senior dog is responding to medication or procedures.

Couldn’t say enough awesome things about Mission Ridge Animal Hospital (Edmonton)—compassionate, professional, and genuinely friendly. You can truly feel how much they care about the two pups we brought to see Dr. Lori. Nothing felt too difficult if it meant helping our dogs feel better, and they did it all with a smile (which is rare!). Kudos to Debra and the whole team. Highly recommend!

We were referred to the clinic by a family member who has been seeing Dr. Lori for many years. After meeting her, I felt confident that we had made the right decision in choosing a veterinarian for Pepsi. Dr. Lori was patient, thorough, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions. We brought Pepsi in because we suspected she had a UTI, and Dr. Lori conducted a comprehensive examination, explained her findings clearly, and provided us with a treatment plan. We especially appreciated her follow-up wellness email after the appointment, which demonstrated her genuine care and concern for Pepsi’s well-being. Prior to our visit, I had called the clinic several times regarding Pepsi’s upcoming 12-week vaccinations and inquired about the wellness package offered for puppies. The administrative staff advised me that information about the program would be emailed to me so I could review it. Unfortunately, I never received the email. In the meantime, Pepsi developed symptoms of a UTI, including frequent urination and straining to urinate, so I called to schedule an appointment sooner. During that call, I again mentioned that I had not received the wellness package information. I was assured that the email would be resent and that the staff would discuss the program with me when I arrived for the appointment. We arrived approximately 15 minutes early for our scheduled visit. At check-in, I inquired about the wellness package and requested a printed copy so I could review it while waiting. No copy was provided. We later discovered that the clinic had an incorrect email address on file, which explained why I had not received the information. Mistakes happen, everyone is human. After Pepsi’s examination, urinalysis, and prescription were completed, I proceeded to checkout and paid the invoice. Only after the payment was processed did I bring up the wellness package again was it. What does it include? How do you use it? At that point, the receptionist showed me a laminated copy of the program, which I reviewed and photographed. I asked if she could review it with me? It became clear that the package would have been beneficial for Pepsi, as it included examinations and discounts that would have applied to services we had just paid for. My concern is not with the outcome, as the clinic ultimately agreed to credit/refund the examination fee at Pepsi’s 12-week vaccination appointment, which I felt was a fair resolution. Rather, my concern is that the wellness package, which is an excellent program and valuable benefit for pet owners, was not communicated consistently throughout the process. I believe there may be an opportunity for additional front-desk training to ensure that clients receive complete information about programs they inquire about and that follow-up communication is handled consistently. This would not only improve the client experience but would also help the clinic maximize participation in a program that offers significant value to both pet owners and the practice. Overall, we were very pleased with Dr. Lori’s care and professionalism and would confidently recommend her to friends and family. While our experience with the administrative side of the clinic was somewhat confusing and stressful, we appreciate that our concerns were addressed and that a resolution was provided moving forward we are very happy excellent care for our pet.
