Between The Buns

A buddy of mine was giving this place, rave reviews, and the restaurant did not disappoint. This is the only restaurant that I know of in Spruce Grove that serves boar burgers. I had the burger burger with yam fries and a soft drink for $18.99. Hi buddy had the fish and chips for $12.99. The burger was extremely flavorful, and the portion size was large. My buddy had the fish and said it was not greasy at all and very flaky. I will definitely be returning to try the bison burger.

Incredible place. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes, the flavor was impeccable, and the burger was HUGE! I paid a little over $30, and what I got in return was far better than any fast-food chain could attempt. The advertisements you see on TV for burgers that end up being less than half the size of what is advertised? You get the real deal here. They make a double patty mozza burger that clears A&W's in both portions and taste for $14.99! I cannot recommend it enough to anyone wanting a quick meal with so many options: fish & chips, salads, specialty burgers with lamb, boar, elk, etc., milkshakes, smoothies, desserts. I could go on and on, but the food speaks for itself. All praise goes to the staff for an incredibly satisfying food experience.

Since this place opened up, it has been our go to for burger nights as a family. The sheer amount of food you get for the value is 10/10. They have a variety of game meats like elk, bison, and boar as well as vegetarian options too. Great appies and the combo or family meals are great for a night when you're too busy to cook. The burgers are great but try the different buns as with the varieties they have, some are better than others. We've eaten here probably once a month since it opened and will likely continue- on those too lazy to cook nights.

Tried Between the Buns today. Always nice to see new spots in Spruce Grove since options can be a bit limited. It was very clean in here, it was great. Overall, it was good, just not quite a standout yet. The fries and onion rings were really solid, but the burgers were a bit dry and sauceless. Service was okay, just felt a little low energy. With a bit more consistency in service, timing, and flavour, this place could easily level up. For now, I’d still probably choose A&W. That said, it’s still worth trying for yourself, everyone’s taste is different!

Decided to try this burger joint out based on a local recommendation. I highly recommend it. They have a lovely selection of buns to choose from. The meat options for your patties is long. Only minor change would be I’d appreciate homemade French fries. These are frozen French fries.
