Carne Asada Mexican Taqueria

Ordered two of each option. My biggest mistake was ordering so many of the extra toppings with all of them. It ended up pretty messy. They came in good white tortillas. The asada and chicken tacos were the best. The pastor and portobello were good too. It was surprisingly savoury and flavourful. Large chunks of mushroom. The bean tacos were average at best - if vegetarian, I’d probably opt for the portobello before stooping to the bean taco. The restaurant itself is a little cramped. But the service is good.

My experience here was absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend this place more. Extremely delicious tacos. SO GOOD! Way better than anejo which is nearby. The service I received from the man was also above and beyond. He created a diy taco for us because we had some restrictions. Outstanding please go here!

Carne Asada is a true gem! Their tacos are bursting with authentic flavors, especially the PORK PASTOR. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff create a delightful dining experience. Unfortunately, I got too caught up chatting with the boss and forgot to grab the sauce. I heard they make it in-house, so I'll definitely make sure to try it next time. Whether you're in for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Mexican cuisine in Edmonton downtown. Highly recommended!

Lovely people, amazing tacos. Friendly service and happy to provide advice and quick service. The tacos hit the spot, with plenty of sauces and everything you need. Highly recommended.

New authentic taco place with small menu which I actually really like and appreciate. I enjoyed the Al pastor and carne Asada tacos ($5.25 each) and also the choriqueso was a great deal with 2 tacos for $7. They are new so still working out their ordering system. They were a bit overwhelmed when I visited and confused a couple of the orders but they were friendly and appreciative of everyone’s patience. I told the owner they need a salsa that is actually hot for people like me who love spicy because I found their 3 salsas to be all varying degrees of mild. I will definitely be going back regularly. I’ve been craving the choriqueso since I visited.
