Never got the chance to try an arepa in Spain, so I’m glad I found this spot. The owner recommended the Andes arepa with chicken, beef, and chicharron. Not a fan of the chicharron but that’s personal taste. Generous portion of meat stuffed inside! Lots of naturally gluten free options, as most of the doughs they use are corn based. Reasonable price too. Took about 30 minutes for food to come out, but that was okay with me. No need to rush. Limited seating but the patio was where I wanted to be anyway. I would definitely come again to try their empanadas and fresh juices.
Great food and vibes! Tried the Patacones con Carne — crispy plantains with tasty beef and delicious house sauces. So good! We also had a coffee and shared a Tres Leches cake that was super moist and flavorful. The staff was friendly and the place had a chill, welcoming feel. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!
I visited Sabor De los Andes with my Colombian friend and her mom, and it was such a wonderful experience. My friend and I both ordered the Bandeja Paisa, and it was absolutely delicious — hearty, well-balanced, and full of authentic flavour. Her mom had the Tilapia, which she really enjoyed as well. We also tried their fresh fruit juices, which were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. What really stood out was how impressed my friend’s mom was — always a great sign when someone who knows the cuisine well approves! 😊 The restaurant wasn’t too busy, and while the space isn’t very large, it’s cozy, welcoming, and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the food and conversation. Before heading home, I picked up a flan to-go, and it was a great decision — smooth, rich, and a perfect ending to the meal. Highly recommended if you’re looking to try authentic Colombian food in Edmonton.
Everyone is as super friendly , food as very fresh and delivered warm. Very flavourful , would definitely come back! Ordered Sancocho and bandeja paisa!
I came here for the first time, but I’ve tried their food before when they had the food truck so I knew it was amazing. But aside from the food being delicious the service was also so warm and welcoming. The owner was there and she was so happy and just gave me the best experience with her sweet personality. I recommend this business to everyone. You can tell they are a family just like us that has a dream and loves to share their passion with the world. I wish them the very best 💛 10/10
