Edmonton's beloved vegan restaurant — Southeast Asian and Indonesian-inspired plant-based dishes. Fully vegetarian, no alcohol, big portions.
Came here on a trip to Edmonton and was excited for their vegan/vegetarian Asian food. It didn't disappoint! Had their Padmanadi Seafood Delight ($19.95), Rice Noodle ($16.95) and Panna Cotta ($6). The texture of the vegan seafood was bouncy and tasty, although we didn't find there to be a variety as stated - it felt more like one item resembling a fish ball. We're not fans of ginger but forgot to ask them to omit it in the dish, but it was still a solid option. The rice noodle was plentiful, simple but well executed. The panna cotta did feel a tad heavy as it is coconut milk based, but the fruit puree and berries helped elevate it. Very good service. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Not the most populated area (we walked from downtown), so may recommend driving for those with a car!
Great vegetarian food with a massive amount of options! We had the battered cauliflower as an appetizer, hot & sour soup, and Curry Chicken with a side of jasmine rice. The hot and sour soup tasted very unique and not too strong. The curry chicken was smooth and the mixed veggies and the “chicken” were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was extremely attentive and the food came out very quickly. We will be coming back to try more of their delicious dishes!
(August 9, 2025) Not wanting to miss out on this place, we visited this place in a last-ditch effort dragging our luggage on the roads after checking out of our hotel, and with a flight to catch later that night. I had thought this was a vegan Indian restaurant, but this is actually not Indian, merely vegan with some modern Thai cuisine interpretations. We tried the following: 1. Tom Yum soup --- Hot, watery, flavorful soup with a lot of vegetables such as baby corn, carrot, mushroom, tofu, lemon slice, lemon leaf?, and mock seafood. The portion size was large. 2. Broccoli and cauliflower in soy sauce --- The vegetables could've been cooked a little more. Soy sauce was mild in nice way. Something felt lacking, perhaps the mildness was too mild to my liking. The jasmine rice and coconut rice felt fresh and warm. After the meal, we didn't feel like having desserts. Pleasant bamboo'ey-wooden interiors. Decently priced, the above cost 40 CAD before tips.
It was so delicious, fresh and fast! We really enjoyed our dinner and the staff was so friendly! We had two starters and two main dishes for three people. The portions are really huge and good to share! We will come back! Thank you!
I have never tried vegetarian food, my wife failed to mention and only told me when we were 5 minutes away. I was furious, I always had the thought of vegetarian being flavorless and the protein alternative bring soy really didnt sit well with me. Wow... was I ever wrong, please if you ever skip this restaurant because its vegetarian only I hope this review changes your mind. As a ex-vegetarian hater I can say I will now be more open minded about future vegetarian restaurants. My wife and I ordered chicken curry and the ginger beef with a thick noodle dish, the waitress recommended rice for the curry and I was glad I took her recommendation as it paired well with the curry. The total came to $52 after taxes before tip. With more than enough for another meal later that night. VERY generous proportions.
