I was told to come to Idle Kitchen for smash burgers. I had never heard of this spot so made the drive down. Located inside a super cool bike shop, Idle serves up burgers and fries. I ordered the standard and it was amazing. A true smash burger - thin and crisped. The service was simple. Kind and friendly. I've already been back a few times! 5 x 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔
Enjoyed the meal we had three smash burgers. The burgers were fantastic and the fries were amazing and they cook in tallow which made them that much better
Was my first time visiting Idle Kitchen along with a former coworker, I ordered one of their signature quad pattied burger with fries, and coworker ordered up a buffalo chicken poutine, Didn't take them too long to cook up our late lunches, and the food was fantastic! The quad patty and fries was more than I could realistically eat, but I managed to finish it off! Buddies poutine was to his spec, and I may try one of their designer poutines on my next visit. Info provided to me, I visited during their "soft opening" with their grand opening coming up Thursday of the following week. Price point was excellent, at $17.95 for the quad patty with fries, and I can't remember what coworkers poutine was, I think in the $13.95 range. Definitely will visit again!
Accidentally found this joint when I went to the Big Toy Shop and I am so glad I did! Probably the best smash burger I’ve had in Edmonton…fries were on point too! I believe it had a potato bun(which was amazing and held together well), the meat was very fresh and tasty and the mayo, onions, cheese and pickles completed this burger perfectly! Double smash with fries(awesome old school shoe string triple-fried in tallow)was only $12! The staff were super friendly and welcoming! While you wait for your food you can check out all the beautiful custom bikes! Absolutely recommend checking this place out and I will definitely be back to try the pizza and other menu items!
Best deal on a burger & fries in the province, probably... And they're REALLY good too. The fries are cooked in tallow too, not seed oil. Incredible value, great food, sitting in a showroom full of cool bikes. This place is outstanding. The staff are super friendly too. Oh, and the coffee slaps.
