This is one of the best ethnic restaurants in Edmonton. The menu is varied with a mix of both authentic East African dishes and Afro-Indian fusion meals & snacks from several cCoastal-Island East African communities. The service is both prompt and consistent during multiple visits. The staff are very helpful for those new to the cuisine and they take time to explain the extensive menu. Some of the stand out dishes include saffron rice with either fusion chicken or fall off the bone lean goat meat. There are numerous healthy dishes including an incredible curried kale with chapati, refried beans in a delectable vegetable medley broth served with Ugali (an East African staple akin to a savory corn bread), and lean beef & cartilage with numerous types of Somali style pastas. There is various fish dishes cooked in either with coconut curry, fried whole fish or baked Salmon dish served with steamed basmati rice pilaf. Do not miss their incredible snacks stemming from the Somali/Kenyan/Tanzanian coast including to die for Beef Samosas, Indian Fusion Bajiyas, Coconut infused Mahamri treats, and other varied dishes that go well with spicy chai-tea infused with Chai masala spices. Their portions are enough to feed more than one person, and at a price point that is refreshingly attainable in today's hyperinflated pricing for eating out. Took my Pakistani family and ordered the 6 people platter. They were very generous with their servings, and all of the meats were amazing, including the chicken, beef (super tender), and fried fish. They gave free soup for everyone as well. Amazing value for the amount of food and the taste was great as well! Would highly recommend!

Love the service, so warm and hospitable. They bring you soup as soon as you sit, and food comes out quick. Value is so high, the food quality is great. Abundant and delicious! They even bring out bananas for my babies when they eat with us, too. Feeding our whole family and friends is simple and easy whenever we come here. We have been back every couple weeks! Mo and Valeriia are so kind and helpful.

Food was delicious and tender. You get a lot and quality doesn’t deteriorate with that. Got complementary soup with this green spicy sauce i added to it. Also had beef samosa and it was flavourful and the outside nice and crispy. I got the goat meat with kk. Not a fan of kk but it definitely helps with satiety. The goat was juicy and had me going through the bone. Vegetables were fresh with a wonderful vinaigrette. Rice was also great with the side sauce amping it up. The chicken was cooked with spices similar to the goat i think. All around awesome and I’m glad I made the trip
