Food is amazing! If you like small, family owned places, it definitely has that vibe. Service was quick and so friendly! Will agree with other reviewers, the portions are amazing for the price. We split between 3 of us lamb shank, chicken suqaar, beef suqaar and the goat. The food was quick to come out, super flavorful, and the hot sauce is to die for, so much so, that with all the good food we had left over (and there was lots leftover), we packed that to go as well 😂. If you are craving some amazing Somali food, this place doesn't miss.

First time visiting this place and trying East African/Somalian food. Service was super nice and quick. Size of portion is huge. Beef samosa super tasty. Lamb shank does not have much of lamb smell, that is good for us. Grilled chicken is so soft it is just melting in your mouth. They give out free lentil soup as a compliment. Interiors might need some updates but can be overlook by the food and service quality. Definitely be back.

This was a great lunch indeed !!! Wonderful flavours and spices in this chicken dish! The accompanying rice was just delicious! The accompanying spice dip was a bit too spicy hot for me but extremely flavourful! The small side of salad had a very tasty dressing that I enjoyed. There was too much in this order for me to eat in one sitting. The owner approached me and we had a nice chat about food of course , very very nice lady! I’m excited to return and try the other offerings on her menu … this is a great place to eat. The only downside was that there were a few flys buzzing around me and my food and I just find that very annoying but I do understand it’s sometimes difficult to prevent. And , no fault of the restaurant but other patrons blaring out loud their cel phones behind me watching “ You Tube Videos” so pitiful that these guys cannot put their phones away when dining , or at least have some common courtesy and spacial awareness. Otherwise , the main thing here is the food is wonderful ! I’ll be back for sure.

Great little hidden gem on 118 Ave serving Eastern African food. I found this place from their stellar reviews and I was definitely not disappointed as everything from the food to the service was delivered perfectly. They offered my dishes combined in a platter which gave it a rich aesthetic and the blend of flavours were phenomenal! Would definitely go back!

The haniid was delicious. Super tender and fell straight off the bone. 100% reccomond. Best somali restaurant in the city for sure.
