I ordered via Uber Foods and was pleasantly surprised with both the quality and the generous portions. I ordered Beef Samosa and Mandazi, plus Somali Tea. The Samosa was fried on order and the Mandazi was also freshly prepared. The former was filled with generous amounts of spicy beef while the latter had was not doughy (Mandazi is preferred with no dough on the inside) which was delightfully delicious. The Somali tea was made to order and it was not overly sweet. The meal was delivered promptly with cutlery and sufficient paper towels. Overall, the meal was delicious and the service provided was exceptional. Do yourself a favour and order from this restaurant. You will be provided an excellent meal and extraordinary service. 5 stars all around.
Very good!! Prices are very affordable for what you get Paid $17 and got so much food! Definitely like trying out new places. And this location was great. Wish my friends mentioned it to me earlier because id already be here ten times! Thank you very much to the owner and to the waiter who showed me such great hospitality. I can't wait to be back for more! :)
I went to this place with my cousin as he heard many good things about it. Upon arriving I looked at the front of the restaurant and couldn't find words to describe this sign, I legit thought he made a mistake based on the neighbours floating around the area but looks can be deceiving......kind of. The decor looks dry, nothing much to write about but the front counter looks like something you would see at a 1980's version of 7-eleven. There is only like 6 tables and the majority of the space is just flooring with nothing else around. I assume it's a dance floor at night or something because it doesn't make sense to have all that empty space otherwise. This place is more of a diner than a restaurant. You have to get the waiters attention before they come to you or they just plain won't come until they are serving you what you ordered. That might actually be the reason they have so few tables but regardless, it can be a little annoying trying to wave the man down. That aside, he could answer any questions I had so I'm happy with the service I received. On to the food. Whatever you order, comes with mango juice and I ordered an extra pitcher of lemon juice. Both were a little too sweet but you get a lot of it for what you pay. The tea I got was good, sweet on the right levels. I ordered a soup also, much smaller than expected and was slight bland but it was a few dollars at most. For dinner I ordered the goat meat with pasta. The portion was large, really impressed considering what I paid for it. It also comes with your choice side, I chose pasta(again the portion was massive). The taste however leaves something to be desired. I believe the cooks put the sauce on the meat before they cook it instead of marinating it. The sauce was pooled at the bottom of the plate so I had to just spoon the sauce onto the meat constantly if I wanted the meat to have flavour. If the meat had this flavour throughout it then I would easily recommend this place because it was tender as hell. The meat by itself was almost flavourless though. Ending comments: bad decor, good enough service, okay food, great portion sizes, terrible location, the best prices. I will go back to try another dish but until then, I can't recommend this place to the chickens scared to cross that downtown barrier. If you're just trying to get full for cheap prices though, you may want to come get this.
Really amazing place. Big portions, delicious, well cooked, soft meat. We had multiple chicken and beef dishes, all extremely satisfactory. The BBQ chicken was super juicy and soft. The beef sugar/stew was flavourful. The chicken steak was so nice and juicy and the chicken stew was lemony and salty and very good. The service was also very good. They gave us free soup, traditional hot sauce, and drinks with free refills throughout. We got there late, which meant some things had run out but they went above and beyond to give us recommendations that were delicious, and remained cordial and polite throughout. The food also came really fast! Definietly recommend, and will be coming back!
The best food ever! The taste was absolutely amazing! My son loved their food and also we did! Their meat was very well cook and was full of flavors! I would love to go there again!!!
