I had a wonderful visit to the University of Alberta Botanic Garden. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. There are many different plants, flowers, and walking paths to explore, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the scenery is perfect for taking photos. It is suitable for families, couples, and anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors. I would definitely recommend visiting this garden and would be happy to return again in the future.
Great place to get out of city life and come enjoy the beauty of nature. The gardens are well kept and maintained while still looking very natural. Plant labels and info graphs along paths are helpful to curious guests and gardeners, every plant is labeled with a name and scientific name. There are natural animals like ducks, geese and deer. Lakes can be dirty but cant keep everything clean while the water falls and boardwalks are nice and cool. Overall great place to cone after a long day, sit down for brunch or just have a stroll. Would highly recommend.
Disappointing visit. Water feature was out of service, but admission was still full price. Several ponds also looked stagnant and poorly maintained. The gardens are nice, but I expected better upkeep and more transparency about major attractions being unavailable.
Japanese Garden, Aga Khan pavilion, tropical garden, temperate arid and pine collections were good It would be nice if there were more hut/ tents/ shade. Also i think only three rest room areas Plant collection was extensive , could you also include fungi, and other plants The ponds would be nice if there were fish?
It's like the Mutart Conservatory multiplied on large scale. Absolutely huge, with so much to see! The Japanese, apline, arid and wetland areas were my favorite! The only downside is the cost of the food..$11 for a wiener on a bun with nothing else added is pretty steep. Really nice way to escape the city for a day
Keep exploring
