3 / 3Edmonton's science centre — IMAX dome, planetarium, hands-on exhibits for kids and adults, and rotating world-class touring exhibitions. All-day family destination.
Great experience at TELUS World of Science. They have the most engaging rooms I have ever seen. Every hallway and room was filled with hands on learning and thinking activities. They have live demonstration, skills labs, and science labs. The have open areas with microscopes, a science lab with physics activities, and hallways with brain games. Their IMAX and Ziegler Dome were also awesome. We watched a show on planets in the Ziegler Done - great for kids and preteens. There was also a dinosaur Jurassic Park Lego exhibit where you got to build different activities. It was fun and looked cool. Had a Lego Jeep you could sit in with a dinosaur behind you.
We went with my toddler and found there was enough for him to do between the CuriousCITY exhibit and the race car part of the science garage. Still lots of things in these areas for slightly older kids. Some things brought out the inner kid in me and I would have played for hours if they weren’t a bit too advanced to maintain my little one's interest. The gift shop also had a lot of really fun toys and gifts for sale.
We have been to TELUS World of Science Edmonton countless times and have always enjoyed our visits. I have been bringing my kids since they were toddlers, and now that they are tweens, we all still genuinely enjoy coming back. There are always changes, updates, and new things to see and do, which keeps it feeling fresh even after many visits. We personally prefer going during quieter times with fewer crowds. If crowds do not bother you, any time works well. If you do mind crowds, it is worth checking their busy times, as it can get extremely busy, chaotic, and very loud. The Zeidler Dome is always a hit, regardless of what is playing. Be sure to check the schedule in advance. Some shows are free to walk into, while others require tickets. The gift shop consistently has great items for both kids and adults, and the staff are always friendly, engaging, and fun. Overall, it's a fun place to visit as a family.
Our family’s first time to visit science world, loved how great the different type of activities setting indoor to show people how science work. Curious city was amazing, our kids love it so much. IMAX experienced was fantastic, we watched the rocket mountain express, music was wonderful. Staffs were super friendly and helpful.
We absolutely loved it! This is a beautiful Science Centre with a full days worth of things to see and do. We brought our 3 Dinosaur loving children ages 8,10,13 to see the Jurassic World Lego display. It's AWESOME!!!! We spent about 2 hours just doing that. Had a nice lunch at their café. The staff is very helpful and kind. We enjoyed a couple shows in the Zeigler Dome. 🌌🦕 Explored the Solar systems display. The STEAM lab is great! The kids enjoyed constructing their own balancing paper crafts. Thanks Telus World of Science.
