Staff are friendly and swim instructors are engaging with the kids. Good place for a swim and lesson. Not the biggest of pools but it doesn’t ever seem crowded or chaotic.
Stumbled upon Hardisty Fitness and Leisure Centre last Friday evening after work and honestly had no idea this gem was tucked away in the neighbourhood. The ice surface was in great shape and there were a few pickup hockey games going on which gave the whole place a really lively energy. Staff at the front desk were super friendly and pointed me toward the viewing area without me even having to ask. Definitely adding this to my weekend rotation as someone still getting to know the different pockets of Edmonton.
It's probably the best smaller pool in the city. Could be one of the best in Canada but that's up for debate. Compared to Bonnie Doon every area here is more spacious. The showers are powerful - free brief massage right there! Only one amenity is not available - the sauna. For 70 per month if this was your pool you would certainly get your bang for your buck. There is a small but well stocked fitness area too - weights, machines, treadmills, stretch area. The river valley is not far. Short transit ride - 8 mins. Or bike ride etc. Could plan an excellent day of fitness around Hardisty and area.
