Went there on a Wednesday night with a couple friends for pickup hockey and honestly the ice time was way easier to book than I expected. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and pointed us straight to the right rink without any hassle. Parking out front was wide open since it was a weeknight, which made the whole trip in and out painless. Great little spot for a casual weeknight outing, we will definitely be back for another skate.

Kinsmen Play Park and Spray Park! It’s the perfect spot for families with kids of all ages. The playground has lots of fun and safe equipment, with areas for both little ones and older kids to enjoy. There’s plenty of space to run around and explore. The spray park is a huge hit—especially on a hot day! Lots of water features to splash in, and it’s well maintained and clean. We appreciated how the area has lots of shaded spots, benches, and picnic tables for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids. There are also washrooms nearby and lots of green space if you want to bring a picnic or just stretch out on a blanket. It really feels like a full day outing without having to leave the city. There are also many amenities inside the sports centre. Highly recommend it for a fun, free, and family-friendly outing!

Kinsmen Sports Centre is honestly one of the better arenas we've been to in the city for a casual weekend skate. We went Saturday afternoon for the public skating session and the ice was in really good condition, way better than some other rinks I've been to. The change rooms were clean and spacious enough that our whole group could get ready without it feeling cramped. Definitely planning to make this a regular thing with the crew, it's just a solid spot all around.

I recently visited Kinsmen Pool and came away with a bit of a mixed impression. On one hand, it’s a decent place to go for a swim and get out of the house, but on the other, the facility itself feels somewhat subpar compared to what you might expect. Certain areas looked a little dated, and there are definitely signs of wear and tear throughout the building. The overall atmosphere could benefit from some renovations or upgrades to make it feel cleaner, more modern, and more inviting. It’s not terrible by any means, but it does leave you feeling like there’s a lot of room for improvement. That being said, what truly made the experience stand out in a positive way was the staff. The lifeguards in particular were absolutely excellent and made a lasting impression. Noah, Tessa, and Aurora were all incredibly kind, approachable, and professional. They were attentive without being overbearing, clearly focused on safety, and at the same time created a really welcoming and friendly environment. It’s not often you notice staff in such a positive way, but they genuinely elevated the entire visit. Their positive attitudes and willingness to engage with guests made the pool feel much more enjoyable than the physical space alone would suggest. Whether it was answering questions, keeping an eye on swimmers, or just bringing a friendly presence to the deck, they went above and beyond what you might typically expect. Overall, while Kinsmen Pool as a facility could definitely use some improvements and modernization, the outstanding staff more than make up for its shortcomings. Thanks to Noah, Tessa, and Aurora, my visit was still a very pleasant one. I’d give it 4 stars overall — with the hope that the facility itself gets some upgrades in the future to match the quality of the team working there.

Headed out to Kinsmen Sports Centre with a few friends last Friday evening and had a genuinely great time. The ice surface was in really nice condition and we were impressed by how well-maintained the whole facility was. Staff at the front desk were super friendly and got us sorted out quickly without any hassle. Definitely planning to make this a regular weekend spot with the crew.
