The first time I went was in January and while I got in as a walk in, I could hear the receptionist calling because a doctor wasn't going to come in, trying to find someone to cover. Then this past weekend I needed to receive medical care for myself and my son, I arrived at 10:00 AM which is the posted opening time, and by 10:10 there was no indication anyone was at the clinic or like it was going to open at all. I decided to take my son to a walk in clinic elsewhere, and shortly after our arrival another woman that was waiting at Kensington walked through the new clinic doors to check in also. I asked her if it was still closed and she said yes. While the care and waiting I received in December was adequate, I have to say that between these two experiences this clinic feels like it is unreliable for providing care consistently.

This clinic really needs to improve the quality of its front desk customer service. Receptionists are the first point of contact for clients, and unfortunately the interactions often come across as rude and unwelcoming, as though they do not want to speak with patients. If you look through the reviews, many people mention that the doctors here are excellent, which I agree with. However, the reception service is significantly below expectations and is negatively affecting the clinic’s overall reputation and rating. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because the medical care itself deserves better support from the front desk staff.

Overall very dismissive, uncaring experience. It was my first time seeing Dr. Adaobi Nwankwo-Ezika. I said im here for couple things then looked at my phone to read them. Before i could speak, she said she has "very limited time" and if i "have 4 or 5 things", she could only "address 2 of them". I understand that they're busy but it ticked me off that she assumed I had "more things" when i already said im only here for a "couple". Anyways the worst part is: I explained about my recurring cough that i couldnt figure out the cause and asked if i could see a specialist. First she said she wouldnt refer me bc ENT specialists are busy treating cancer. And even if she'd refer me, it would take them a very long time to see me. Sure, i understand that. But at least provide a short-term remedy or relief. When i said that, her response was "when you feel the cough coming, drink water". In my head - if drinking water alone works, i wouldnt be there wasting both our times! I just agreed to whatever she said after bc I want our conversation to end. She was dismissive from the start and made my concerns seem unimportant just bc they're not life-threatening. This is a medical clinic, not an ER. And just bc i dont have cancer, doesnt mean my cough should be dismissed and just "drink water".

Went here to meet a potential new family doctor after relocating from another city. The person at the front desk was okay. The person who did my intake was very friendly. Not much of a wait time as I had an appointment. The doctor I met with lacked bed side manner and the impression I got was cold and uncaring. I came in for a meet and greet and needed refills on medication, medication which I've been on for 6 years. I was told I wouldn't be given a 90 day refill due to not having proof that I needed the medication and that I would have to bring proof in with me before that could happen. I also asked for an IUD prescription so I could have mine replaced and instead of giving me the script. I was referred to a colleague for removal and insertion. Overall, I'm an adult and Netcare exists for a reason. The person at the front desk made the assumption that I was there for drugs that I wasn't. She asked me what refills I needed at the front desk in a public area and wanted me to disclose it despite other patients also being at the front desk to check in. My first impression of the doctor did not lead me to believe that she would have my best interests at heart or respect my autonomy. It felt like I was a burden and wasting her time. Proper medical care requires reciprocal trust. Not to mention, referring someone to an unknown individual for a invasive procedure isn't trauma informed. I will not be returning.

My experience at this clinic was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff were rude and lacked basic empathy, which is unacceptable in a healthcare environment where patients deserve to be treated with respect and understanding. My interaction with the doctor was even more concerning. There was little to no effort to properly assess my condition before immediately suggesting a referral to a specialist. This felt dismissive and unprofessional, as a proper evaluation should come first. What stood out the most was the doctor’s comment about only spending 15 minutes per diagnosis. This approach felt rushed, impersonal, and dismissive of patient concerns. Patients are not just time slots, and this kind of attitude undermines trust in the care being provided. Overall, the level of care and professionalism I experienced at this clinic was far below expectations. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking attentive, respectful, and thorough medical care.
