Mode Built Basements

This is as much a Thank you as it is a a review. I was searching online for a renovation company to develop the basement of our house we bought. We had not even taken possession of the property but I starting searching in Feb 2026 as we had family coming from out of country to visit at the end of June . Based off of reviews and their website I emailed Mode Built. I got a fast reply from Jasmeen. From there Simon listen to what I wanted in the basement. He was able to start designing based off of the listing photo and video I sent of the basement. Based on this he gave me an estimate. In March 2026 after we took possession he came out to do some measurements and give an accurate quote. The rest is “history”! They looked after everything, permits, trades, inspections. We met the team at there Design Showroom and office. Kelsey, Interior designer extraordinaire helped us pick out our finishings. No need to visit multiple supplier. Kelsey is also the coordinator and liaison person for concerns which was a real asset. No email or inquiry was left unanswered throughout the time they were developing our basement. Jason was our project manager and Trent are main hands on team lead. They were down to earth, friendly and made sure everything was running as smooth as could be. They also strived to make sure you were completely happy with the work being done. Shaun did our final inspection and walk through. It’s a sign of a good company when the owner makes sure you are completely satisfied. Mode Built hires trades who are professional and respectful. They take pride in their work. Mode Built uses an App called Builder Trend so you know exactly what’s happening from week to week and day to day. I never felt unsafe or had to question who was entering my home. Words I would use to describe Mode Built: Professional, Friendly, Approachable, Reliable, Seamlessly organized, Customer oriented, Strives to make your renovation stress free. Stands by their work post completion. Thank you Mode Built. We couldn’t be happier with our basement ..built on time , within budget and to perfection! We will definitely recommend you to family and friends.

We contracted Mode to do renovation to the basement of our bungalow (1972). Included major repairs and replacement of plumbing, concrete, electrical and windows. We are extremely happy with final result! Doubled the living space of our house. The experience was a good one from beginning to end. Clear and friendly communication throughout. Will ask them to do the same for upstairs in due course. Highly recommend. Now to furnish it.

We had an incredible experience with MODEbuilt and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a renovation. We had structural work completed in our basement including removing two load bearing columns, along with a full bathroom renovation from top to bottom, and the entire experience was excellent. From the very beginning, the team was organized, professional, and easy to work with. Kelsey was our designer and coordinator, and she was truly fantastic. Her communication throughout the project was excellent, and she was always friendly, approachable, and happy to answer our questions. She made the entire process feel much less stressful. Jason, our project manager, was also amazing. He kept things moving, was always responsive, and made sure the work was done properly. The trades and team members who came through our home were phenomenal as well. Everyone was respectful, friendly, and took pride in their work, which really stood out to us. We were expecting a baby, so timing was especially important, and MODEbuilt went above and beyond to help get everything completed for us. They even worked weekends to keep things moving, and the project was finished ahead of what we were expecting. Shaun, the owner, also came by for a walkthrough, which we really appreciated. What impressed us most was that even after the job was essentially done, they continued to follow up, address small details, and make sure we were fully happy with the final result. It never felt like they were just trying to finish the job and move on. They genuinely cared about the quality of the work and our experience. Overall, we are extremely happy with MODEbuilt. The final result looks great, the process was smooth, and the people were wonderful to work with. We would not hesitate to hire them again.

We recently had our basement renovated by Mode Built Inc., and we couldn’t be happier with the results! They transformed our unfinished downstairs into a beautiful and functional living space that includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, a wet bar, two separate living areas, and an incredible amount of thoughtfully designed storage. One of the things that impressed us most was the floor plan they created. Their design was even better than we had imagined and made our basement feel much larger and more open than we ever thought possible. They truly maximized every square foot while maintaining a spacious, comfortable feel. From start to finish, everyone at Mode Built was a pleasure to work with. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and the entire team was friendly, professional, and responsive. All of the tradespeople who came into our home were exceptional, respectful, and skilled. Like any renovation, there were a few bumps along the way, but any issues were addressed promptly and professionally. We always felt that our concerns were heard and that the team was committed to making things right. We are absolutely thrilled with the finished result and the quality of workmanship. Our basement has become a beautiful extension of our home, and we would highly recommend Mode Built Inc. to anyone considering a renovation project. Thank you to the entire team for bringing our vision to life and creating a space that exceeded our expectations!

We had an amazing experience working with Mode Built Basements. From the initial meeting they really took the time to get to know us and our need for the space and came up with amazing floor design options to maximize our room. We had an amazing time meeting with Kelsey and having her help choosing our finishings for the basement and she was a huge help whenever we had any questions she was quick to get back to us. The main Mode workers we had working at our house were Jason and Trent, and they were incredible to work with. They were always kind, considerate, and took the time to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable while they were working at our home. Overall we are so happy with our basement renovations and how everything was finished and done exactly to the schedule!
