Sherwood Park Eye Centre

After going to Costco optical for an exam in September I’ve been waiting till I had benefits as Costco was awful. This company gave me a whole new hope when it comes to my eyes, they explained to me why I had issues at my previous appointment and worked with me by having patience and compassion towards my issues (dry eyes causing my eyes to water excessively) While unfortunately the cost of the glasses themselves are too high for myself at this time, I would 1000000% recommend them even if it’s just for your exam! Do also have to add that the one receptionist hadn’t been the nicest when I called in but the others were amazing!

A huge shout out to John who had the patience and understanding to my indecisiveness in choosing the right frames and the right tints of my lenses ( on 3 pairs ) His knowledge and attention to detail is unmatched!! When all the measurements were complete he made sure that his measurements were spot on and had a colleague double check …all to make sure my lenses were correct. I highly recommend this eye centre and all the specialists who are there to help you !!

All of the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I have seen a few different doctors and they have all been very thorough and provide a high standard of care. As a bonus, they also have a great selection for glasses!

I drive from South Edmonton just to come here. Everyone is very pleasant and knowledgeable, from the receptionists to the techs to the staff fitting glasses. Even the students they have are professional and kind. Dr. Khroad is great, she is very thorough and listens thoughtfully to any concerns I have. She also takes the time to explain things fully to me, which I appreciate. AJ is the GOAT of glasses. He makes sure they fit perfectly before I walk out the door, and any tweaks or concerns I have he fixes with no question. The GM Mark is also very professional and friendly. You can tell he cares a lot about his clinic and staff! They have tons of frames to choose from, and some trendy brands with interesting styles. Every staff member will do their best to help you with any concern you have, and I have never felt pressured or upsold. They really make you feel like they have your best interest in mind!

I went in with an eye emergency and they were able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment (I know this isn’t always a given and, while greatly appreciated is not the sole reason for my 5 star review). The care and attention of the entire team is what earned this rating. Reception was outstanding. They knew who I was as soon as I came in and were ready to help…and EVERYONE at the front was warm and friendly. This is so lacking in any health clinic these days. The technician I saw to do my initial tests was lovely and caring, knowing I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. Really appreciated her patience with me. I saw a student doctor at first who was extremely thorough and explained everything to me. He took extra care because of how much pain I was in and I did not feel embarrassed nor did I have my pain minimized in any way. He listened and was kind and caring. He also explained exactly what was going on and offered options, stressing that I was to come back immediately if the situation got any worse in the next 24 hours. His supervisor came in and confirmed his assessment and the two of them discussed as colleagues. The student was treated as a true peer, which I really respected…as some doctors don’t create that rapport with students. I was so impressed that I will be switching my eye care here. Amazing clinic! I’m so impressed.
