This cozy and warmly decorated spot is tucked away off the alley parking lot, it's more of a grab-and-go setup with limited seating along the walls and one small table. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Although there was a slight language barrier, the waitress confirmed my gluten-free requirements with the kitchen. The quesadillas use flour tortillas, fish tacos are battered, and churros are fried in separate oil from the chips, which are gluten-free. (Confirmed with the owner: Chips are fried at their sister restaurant in dedicated GF fryer). I shared the chips and salsa and a mix of Traditional Tacos (Pastor, Suadero, Carnita, and Carne Asada). The handmade corn tortillas were soft, thick, and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated being able to choose two proteins per taco order and not having to include rice or beans. Tacos were garnished with cilantro, onion, and lime wedge - which is all you need because the meats were so flavourful! For those with Celiac, I suggest visiting during non-peak hours so the small kitchen has time to manage cross-contact carefully. By 5:30 pm, there was already a line out the door, which speaks to how popular this place is. The staff mentioned plans to expand into a larger space soon, which is great news, as I’d love to bring my coworkers here once they can take reservations. Can't wait to come back! ❤️
Home made tortillas are absolutely delicious and authentic. They really did well with the tortillas and were the star of the show. The restaurant itself has 10 seats so be prepared to get take out, they should move to a slightly larger venue as the tacos truly are fantastic. The grilled onions were super yummy and the homemade sauce was a good blend, and not too spicy. Would recommend highly
Great place to order for any big events! The tacos are very delicious even after some times. They prepared salsa, cilantro, limes, guac, fish taco sauce separately for us so we were able to make our own at our own place! Really great service too! In the picture taco might look small, but they really load the meat!
Okay, Listen to this BEST FREAKING TACOS I've ever had in Edmonton. I am mexican and this place tastes just like mexico city delicious street tacos. I have been here twice and both times have been rewarding. We tried a couple options including chicken, asada, pastor and suadero and they all were mind blowing but the ones who took me home were the suadero tacos, they are really fantastic. All the tacos are made with home made tortillas and these are made with different kind of corn, this made the experience wonderful. Also I highly recommend you to make your order of suadero and asada as chingones you won't regret it. Their horchata is a must try too as you can taste the real rice in it, I loved it! Please come to this place with your mind open as this is a tacoshop not a fancy mexican restaurant, it does not have bathrooms and its a small place to have lunch and dinner, but seriously they are 1000% worth it! Their quantity and quality are awesome too, their staff are kind and friendly as well. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
underrated spot for tacos!! it’s a very small place but there is limited outdoor seating. the staff were super friendly and helpful and i liked how you can order the tacos individually (more to try). however, some tacos have to be ordered in pairs tho if i recall correctly!!
Keep exploring
