We have recently moved from Ontario to Edmonton in December. We went to 4 different karate/martial arts try out in Edmonton and on the 5th try out, my eldest son Kristian said this is the one mom. With that being said, a month in, we are so glad our boys are here. Edmonton Martial arts is very diverse, multicultural, fun, and I personally love the discipline energy sensi has. Tough love is always great in my opinion. Sensi is very straightforward, great sense of humor, honest about what he sees and even though he looks scary and mean, we can tell he is a total softy on the inside. When we started, sensi was very understanding about our situation and needs for the boys (big heart we can see). Very blessed that we found this dojo and looking forward to seeing our boys grow, thrive, and achieve their goals. This dojo I would recommend to everyone. Get ready for an unforgettable experience! We love this place so far.
I have been apart of the Edmonton Martial Arts family for over a year in half. I came back to karate after 18 years to finish what I started. I really enjoy the Karate & kickboxing classes. Sensei Rudy is an excellent teacher. He has helped me grow & achieve my goals. I highly recommend all parents to come & give it a try. You definitely won't be disappointed!
Our son started in the before and after school program in September 2022. He has always been dropped off and picked up from school on time and is well taken care of. He was not happy at his previous daycare but loves this program. The quality of the martial arts instruction is excellent. Our son won a gold medal at the first tournament he attended with this club. Also, they are very flexible with the pick up time and have had no problem with us picking our son up past 6pm on more than one occasion (at no extra cost).
I was recommended this place by a good friend and that is why I signed up my two kids ages 9/10 up. It’s not about the “place” but more so the person. He is the owner and trainer and his name is Redwan. He has created an amazing place for all ages especially children. His firm yet loving approach to teach children martial arts is like no experience my kids have ever gone through. So far we are a bit more than 2 months in and I can see the boost in my kids strength/confidence! I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great workout, strength, skill building and so much more !
This place is awesome. I attended the kickboxing lessons, and I was made to feel comfortable and confident the entire time I was there. The environment is very friendly, especially kid-friendly, and the instructor is an amazing teacher. He knows what he’s talking about, and he knows how to make you understand and remember the techniques he teaches you. If you are looking to learn more about martial arts or you have kids that want to do so, this is the best place to go!
