Frontline has been a tremendous experience for me. It's like a second family. My son and I both love attending class. As a teacher and coach I have been more than impressed with the quality of instruction at all the classes. This is a perfect community for you regardless of if you're new or experienced, hobbyist or competitive. The nest part of my week is waking up for 6am class.
My son has been a member of Frontline for six years. Coach Huthayfah runs a top-notch program. He is great with kids - no matter their age or gender. It is a warm, inclusive school that teaches respect, sportsmanship ship along with jiu jitsu. They instill discipline and fun into every class. I cannot recommend Frontline enough. It is a wonderful place for children to challenge themselves and grow. - James W.
Whether you are brand new to BJJ or a long time martial artist - frontline BJJ is the best place to train in in Alberta (Sherwood Park) and is renowned across the country for their kids and adult programs. With 3 times to train daily, Frontline has the most flexible schedule of any gym, and professional instruction from life long BJJ practitioners and black belt world class competitors. Amazing family environment and incredible place to train. Me, my wife, and my 3 kids have trained at frontline for years and are lucky to have found this gym and to get to train under Pedro Lott and team of great instructors.
My daughter and I have been training at Frontline Academy Jiu-Jitsu for the past four months, and it has been one of the best decisions we've made. The coaches are incredible. They are disciplined and hold the kids to a high standard, but they are also genuinely caring, supportive, and invested in each student's success. They do an amazing job of balancing structure with encouragement, creating an environment where children can thrive. The difference I've seen in my daughter has been remarkable. Her confidence has grown tremendously, and her jiu-jitsu skills continue to improve every week. She's becoming more resilient, focused, and self-assured both on and off the mats. I've experienced similar growth myself, gaining confidence and developing skills that I never thought I would in such a short time. One thing that really stands out is the quality of training. I've had the opportunity to roll with several higher-level belts, and every round feels like a private lesson. They aren't just trying to win exchanges—they take the time to provide guidance, share details, and help you understand what you're doing well and where you can improve. That level of mentorship and willingness to help newer students is something special and speaks volumes about the culture of the academy. Frontline Academy has built a welcoming, family-oriented environment where everyone is encouraged to learn and grow. Whether you're looking for a place for your child, yourself, or both, I can't recommend this gym highly enough. Thank you to all the coaches, staff, and teammates for making us feel so welcome and for helping us improve every day. We're proud to be part of the Frontline Academy family.
Family orientated gym that welcomes all. Highly respected and very skilled in the Gi and No-Gi. This is a gym where you can develop yourself past what you thought was possible. It’s not just the coaches that are outstanding, it’s also the people that you see day in and day out on the same path. Best place to train period.
