I came to CAC in April under terrible circumstances, but the staff made my worst day better. My big girl showed signs of sudden kidney failure and I didn’t want to prolong her suffering. Our vet couldn’t get us in that day and I didn’t want to rush her to the emergency vet (quoted me $850). Capilano was able to get me in that afternoon. The doctor checked Clover and explained what was happening, and told me what I already knew - any procedure or treatment would only prolong the pain for Clover, and for me. She made the hard decision a little bit more manageable. I could go on and on about the level of service we got, and the treats and time they gave us… but I won’t. CAC gave Clover dignity in her death and it’s something I will always cherish. CAC Team, I still have the card you all signed when sending me her paw and nose prints. It’s hanging next to her memory box ☘️
First visit here today. Took my 1.5 year old tuxedo cat, Dallas, in with an abscess on her paw. We were allowed to bring her giant big brother, Sully (pyrenees) in as well, which was a huge comfort for Dallas (they're extremely bonded to each other). Jesse, the vet, was very friendly, professional and went above and beyond for us. She gave us a personalized written summary, and even called the pharmacy to see if they'd have what we need and if theyd be cheaper than buying directly from the clinic (we need all the help we can get right now). I've been less than impressed with the past couple different veterinarians I've brought pets to in town. Capilano Animal Clinic is a 10 minute drive for us, but I'd keep them as my vet if I moved further away. A good vet is rare and worth a commute!! Gonna recommend these guys to everyone, and bring my zoo here.
I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. We've been pretty lucky with our two dogs to not have too many health problems in their first 7 years, however, both have gotten ill with different things in the last week. Dr. Tanya was exceptional with our Molly after an uncomfortable and unfortunate experience at another clinic. She was kind, thorough, and knowledgable. Molly even took a treat from her which is not common for her. We then had to bring in Abbie after she started salivating uncontrollably. We called at 4:30pm and Dr. Kaylee was able to squeeze us in between appointments. We are so very thankful she was able to and that even though it was between appointments, she still was thorough and took great care of us. Paige, the tech we dealt with, was phenomenal and made for this work. Maya at the front desk was also fantastic. Thank you so, so much.
Dr. Kaylee’s breadth of knowledge is incredible. She is both thorough and diligent while being very empathetic. The office staff are all extraordinary and clearly love animals so much. I’m not sure if I would trust another clinic after the high standard of care CAC offers their patients.
