MDO Opticians - St Albert - Village Landing

I had such a genuinely lovely experience at Solace Optics (at the MDO location) after my eye exam at Hong and Lau Eye Care. I will be honest, I came in feeling like I have zero sense of style, especially when it comes to sunglasses. Kristy completely changed that experience for me. She made everything feel easy, calm, and not overwhelming at all. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. One moment that really stood out was when she encouraged me to step away from the small mirror I was using. I was so focused on just my face, and she suggested looking in a full length mirror instead, seeing the bigger picture the way she saw me. That shift completely changed how I felt and helped me see myself in a much more beautiful and confident way. She brought different options over, guided me thoughtfully, and helped me find the perfect pair of sunglasses without any pressure. It felt like such a personalized and caring experience. I am so grateful for her help and would absolutely recommend asking for Kristy if you are looking for someone who truly sees you and helps you feel your best.

Dr. Lau is nothing shy of exceptional. Highly recommend her expertise and care, for eye health and vision care. The front end staff have gone above and beyond to assist with eyewear. Both Sidney and Alicia provide exceptional customer service and I cannot thank these ladies enough for all of their recent assistance. A++

Awesome staff and great service! I went with my prescription and the staff were so helpful and wonderful. At first, I wasn’t sure if I would like the idea that most of their selection is behind their “bar”. I’m the kind of person that knows what I like, and I wanted to just try things on myself. But the staff were quick to pick things I really liked and i found two beautiful frames I couldn’t live without. The staff were all quick to chime in when I found what I loved . It was so helpful. Thank you again team!

Excellent service and selection of women's glasses. Definitely a step above generic optical stores found in malls. This store is a he sister store for Women With Vision in Edmonton.
